What is Title IX?

Title IX is a federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex or gender in any educational program or activity. It covers a wide range of behaviors, including sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, stalking, dating violence, and domestic violence.
At SDSU, we’re committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for everyone. One way we uphold this commitment is by working closely with students and employees who have experienced a Title IX incident. It’s important to know that while Title IX exists to protect our community members’ rights, it is also about more than just enforcing rules and regulations; it’s about ensuring everyone’s safety, dignity, and ability to thrive in the SDSU community.
To do this, CPHD offers a variety of resolution and support options to help individuals navigate what can be a challenging time. To explore the available support services, choose an option below.
